Value of a Holiday Campaign
Tis’ the season for your everyday consumer to consume to their heart’s delight. This is the perfect time to create a holiday-inspired brand image that’ll draw in those who are on the hook and cast a net for those who aren’t. With regards to digital marketing, a themed brand image incorporates a variety of profile pictures, cover photos, landing pages, and graphics that are featured across a business’ platforms. Christmas is arguably the best season to boost sales by taking advantage of promotional opportunities. Those promotional opportunities include but aren’t limited to launching a new product or service and/or offering seasonal discounts.
According to Courtney Richey-Chipol, the Regional Director at Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC), “A targeted campaign may very well lead to an increase in sales. When people are searching the market to buy Christmas presents, they are more likely to pay attention to something Christmas-themed.”
Now is the time to take advantage of the sense of urgency that is in the air. The two more notable pros of marketing, while there is high seasonal demand, are increasing sales and/or brand recognition. The amount of time it takes a prospective customer to make a purchase varies by the services and/or products offered. Meaning, any opportunity to create a connection between your business and consumers must be exploited - Christmas is as good of a reason as any..
Jared Ell, the Assistant Director of Communications - Institutional Advancement at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, stated, “The impact of a holiday-themed campaign depends on the type of company. If we’re talking B2C businesses - they need to be in the game this holiday season. A survey by Deloitte says that while consumers are not as well off as they were last year, they are prioritizing holiday spending and celebration. This means that even if we think the economy is getting worse and consumers have less money, they still plan to spend heavily on the celebration.”
There aren’t many businesses that can afford to sit this season out. Get in the game.
